Izmir’s globally competitive fashion fair, IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – 14th Wedding Dresses, Suits and Evening Gowns Fair, and the major gathering of leather professionals, the Leather & More – 3rd Leather and Leather Apparel Fair, dazzled audiences with spectacular runway shows. Featuring top models and world-renowned singers, the vibrant fashion shows became a true highlight of the events.
At IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, exhibitor Hot Contact brought international pop stars Eva Simons and Dharia to the stage, performing their popular hits live for the guests. Meanwhile, the runway shows held under the scope of Leather & More also drew great interest from industry professionals.
As one of Izmir’s most prestigious fairs and a rising star in the global fashion industry, IF Wedding Fashion İzmir continues in full swing. Hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ in partnership with the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association (EGSD), the fair runs until Friday, January 24, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors. With business meetings, glamorous stands, and cutting-edge wedding, suit, and evening gown designs set to shape the 2020–2021 fashion trends, the fair offered guests a true visual feast.
Leather & More, which brought together the leather industry for the third time and continues to grow stronger each year, also staged solo and collective runway shows that received great attention from the sector. In the first two days of the fairs, a total of 12 runway shows were held, including 7 brand showcases, 3 collective shows, and 2 competitions.
The spectacle of IF Wedding Fashion İzmir began right after the opening ceremony with the World of Fashion Collective Show, featuring top models such as Özge Ulusoy, Şebnem Schaefer, Sema Şimşek, Günay Museyeva, Tuğba Melis Türk, Deniz Pulaş, Itır Esen, and Elif Ece Uzun. Later, Ümit Collection showcased exclusive eveningwear designs with models like Simge Tertemiz, Buse İskenderoğlu, and Özgü Öcal on the iconic white runway. The day continued with a show by İnvito, and closed with designer Murat Acar, who mesmerized the audience with his 30-piece “Fairy Tale” collection, enriched with stage performances.
On the second day, IF Wedding Fashion İzmir welcomed world-famous stars. At the Hot Contact show, international singers Eva Simons and Dharia not only performed but also walked the runway, wearing pieces from a 35-piece special collection. Their live performances and unique stage presence thrilled the audience. Top models Özge Ulusoy, Itır Esen, and Tuğba Melis Türk also joined the show, further impressing attendees. Eva Simons shared her excitement, saying: “It was my first time performing at a fashion show. It was such a special experience for me, with an amazing atmosphere.” Dharia added: “I loved the custom-made outfit prepared for me. The atmosphere was perfect—I’m very happy.”
The runway glow continued with Seren Moda’s bridal show, featuring gowns decorated with exclusive imported stones, followed by In Couture’s showcase, both captivating the audience.
The excitement reached its peak at Leather & More with fashion shows that brought leather to the spotlight. On the first day, a collective leather show featuring 11 leather companies presented innovative designs to the audience. Later that day, industry pioneer Fergucci held its “Fergucci Fashion Show”, introducing its newest designs. Top models Özge Ulusoy, Şebnem Schaefer, Günay Museyeva, and Itır Esen graced the runway. Company owner Güven Yılmaz commented: “We are doing our best to add vibrancy to the leather fashion industry. It was a great pleasure to showcase our latest designs in this show.”
